What do you do when your 700 series (models: 700TCI, 700TR, 700TF, 700BC, 700BR, etc.) Sub-zero™’s ice maker quits making ice or doesn’t make enough?
1. Start with checking your water line. Make sure the water supply to the ice maker is secure and connected to the ice maker. Check the line for ice.
2. Confirm freezer temperature is at or below 5°F, warm temperatures affect ice maker performance. Sub-Zero™ recommends 0°F freezer temperature.
3. Verify the condenser is clean.
4. Ensure the ice bucket is properly installed, it must make contact with the switches behind it to operate. In Over/Under and Drawer models, the bucket or basket engages the ice maker switch when the drawer is closed.
5. Ensure the ice maker white plastic rudder arm is attached to the shut-off arm and reattach if needed. If broken or cracked, replace the ice maker shut off arm.
6. Look for obstructions or jams.
7. Ensure the ice bucket is properly installed, it must make contact with the switches behind it to operate. In Over/Under and Drawer models, the bucket or basket engages the ice maker switch when the drawer is closed.
8. Turn the unit off and on again to reset. Wait 24 hours for ice production to resume.
